Sponsorship faq's
Is the Ministry financially Accountable?

Yes, Azania Children is a program of Rockline Ministries a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Across all of our ministries, an average of 80% of our expenditures fund the ongoing programs that benefit children, families, and communities in Uganda.

What does my sponsored child receive through sponsorhsip?

Because of your support, the child you sponsor will receive an education, school uniform and materials, and medical assistance. In addition, children in our program attend Holiday Center Days where they enjoy a meal, play games, hear the Gospel, and write letters to their sponsors. Sponsored children also attend a Christian camp and Christmas party in their region each year.

Can i visit my child in Uganda?

Yes. Depending on availability you can join one of the many team trips to Uganda throughout the year. Trips to Uganda cost approximately $1,500 for one week and $2,500 for two weeks excludes airfare. Email:missions@azaniachildren.org to express your interest in coming to Uganda.

When will my sponsored child finish school?

In Uganda, Students must pass each grade level before being promoted. There are seven levels in primary school: Primary 1–Primary 7. At the end of Primary 7, students take national exams to test out of primary school. Students who pass the Primary 6 national exams are promoted to secondary school.

There are six levels in secondary school: Senior 1–Senior 4 is the Ordinary leveland senior 5 – senior 6 is the Advanced Level.Students will take national exams again at the end of Senior 4 to test into Advanced level. At the end of Senior 6, students will take their final national exams and will graduate from secondary school if they pass. The Senior 6 national exam results also determine students’ eligibility for post-secondary education.

Can i sponsor siblings of my sponsored child?

No. Our policy is to sponsor one child per family in order to spread the gift of education further throughout the communities in which we operate, to protect parental dignity, and to avoid creating dependency. Our colleagues in Uganda let us know if there are special cases that require exceptions, though this doesn’t happen frequently.

We do encourage you to ask your sponsored child about their siblings and pray for them. In Uganda culture, especially for families experiencing material poverty, people are much more open to sharing their possessions than we tend to be in the U.S. Keep in mind that gifts sent to your sponsored child will inevitably be shared with their siblings, cousins, or neighbors

Does my child have another sponsor?
YES. Each child has 12 disciples, so it is possible for one child to have as many as 12 sponsors we call the 12 “disciples” or as few as one sponsor covering all shares. A sponsor can decide how many of the available shares to pick for a child and many donors sponsor shares for more than one child.  Your sponsorship is truly an investment in children’s lives and futures!
How long does my child stay in Sponosrhsip?
A child can be sponsored until University. This comes in when a sponsor decided to sponsor a child until university level. They are then permitted to remain and serve in the ministry programs of transforming generations with Christ mindset transforming societies. However, sponsorship fees for University students are not the same with primary and secondary payments.

faq's for payments
Does my sponsorhsip money go straight to the child and his or her family?

Your sponsored child does directly benefit from your sponsorship. However, we do not directly distribute cash to the child or their family because there is no guarantee that the money would be spent on the child’s education. Instead, your sponsorship money is placed into a community pool. School fees are paid directly to the school for all of the children who have sponsors. From this pool, your sponsored child also receives a school uniform, school supplies, medical assistance, and attends special programs. Your child knows who their sponsor is and will communicate with you directly.

How can i send my payments for my child?

Pay Automatically

If you choose this way of payment, you can use automatic Bank Draft or Credit Card and in case your credit card number or expiration date changes, please you can let us know so we can ensure that your payment stays up-to-date.
